Dr Theophilus Acheampong is an economist and political risk analyst with expertise in providing technical assistance in energy economics, trade, tax and investment policy, and public financial management (PFM). He has extensive knowledge and experience working with governments and international institutions in developing countries on extractive industry issues such as fiscal regime modelling, hydrocarbon accounting and contractual negotiations, macro-fiscal frameworks, domestic revenue mobilisation, and local economic empowerment through the development of linkages and associated value chains. Theo’s political risk experience involves helping clients understand and navigate complex political and business risks in Sub-Saharan Africa, namely in Ghana, Guinea Bissau, Equatorial Guinea, Zambia and Zimbabwe. He works as a senior analyst and consultant for firms such as IHS Markit, Crystol Energy, Oxford Policy Management and Kina Advisory Limited among others.
