Andrew commenced his commodity career as a credit analyst in BNP’s commodity team in the mid 1990s, joining from Natwest. He has worked for various commodity banks including KBC, WestLB and Banco Espiritio Santo, financing globally. He joined HSBC in July 2011 and has managed the European CSTF business since 2017. Notable African transactions at HSBC include a USD500 million 17yr SBLC to support GNPC’s gas purchases ref the Sankofa Project, Refinancing Arcelor Mittal South Africa’s ZAR4.5bln Borrowing Base facility and various private and bilateral facilties.
