Iain recently joined the form as a partner in our International Projects Team based in London. Iain has over 25 years advising on the development, financing, acquisition and disposal of energy projects (power (thermal, renewables and nuclear) and oil and gas (upstream, petchems, refineries, pipelines and LNG) across the full value chain throughout Africa, the Middle East and Europe. Most recently Iain has focused on opportunities in the energy transition sector including green hydrogen / ammonia, carbon capture and sequestration and energy storage. As an example of his practice, Iain is currently advising the sponsors on the development and financing of a $4 billion, 60,000 bpd greenfield oil refinery in Uganda; the sponsor on the development of a green ammonia export project in South Africa and NEOM Green Hydrogen Company in Saudi Arabia on its development of the world’s first industrial scale green hydrogen / ammonia export project. As well as London, Iain has previously lived and worked in Singapore and Abu Dhabi.
