Beatrice is the head of the Projects, Energy & Restructuring Practice at DLA Piper Africa, IKM Advocates. With over eighteen years’ experience, she has acted for clients across the entire value chain including public sector entities, commercial lenders and project sponsors in PPPs, infrastructure, energy and public procurement.
Her relentless commitment to the practice saw the firm receive the Environment, Energy and Natural Resources Team of the year as well as the Restructuring Team of the year (Kenya) at the African Legal Awards 2022, and Transportation and Infrastructure Team of the year in 2016. In 2019, Beatrice also received an award at the Africa Energy Forum, Lisbon, in recognition of her contribution to Africa’s energy sector.
Beatrice is a former member of the PPP Petitions Committee of Kenya and a thought leader in the projects, energy and restructuring space as demonstrated by her periodic contributions to the Business Daily, a widely read Kenyan business newspaper.
