Mwelwa is a Managing Partner at Chibesakunda & Co an established Zambian law firm which is recognised as one of Zambia’s premier law firm that boasts of a large legal resource base.

He is a Zambian lawyer of thirty one years standing, having practiced in the Attorney Generals Chambers as Senior State Advocate and Principal State Advocate leading the international law and agreements department for five years. And at Corpus Globe Advocates as a partner for ten years where he was head of the Banking & Finance and Mergers and Acquisitions departments.

Having founded CCO in 2006 the firm has developed into a multi-skilled practice with key departments in Banking and Finance, Litigation, Corporate Advisory, Conveyancing and Real Estate, Mining and Projects, Mergers and Acquisitions, Agricultural, Energy and Infrastructure, Telecommunications and Information Technology.

He holds a bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Zambia and a Master of Laws (LL.M) degree in International Commercial Law from the University of Bristol.
